COVID 19 Re-opening procedures and guiedlines

While we appreciate it will no longer be a legal requirement to wear masks from 19th July, at Harber Hair we have always had the health, safety and comfort of our clients and team at the forefront of our minds.


We will continue to retain mask wearing for both Clients and Stylists. We will maintain sanitation routines, maintain social distancing where possible, provide sanitizer for use, and where appropriate keep plastic dividers in place, for the reassurance and comfort of us all.


The Government has asked us all to make an informed judgement on how to keep ourselves and others safe, and we feel this is the most appropriate course of action for us all. 

   

Coronavirus and what you need to know before your appointment

ARRIVING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT 

Please arrive for your appointment alone, and at the start time.
Please remember to bring a mask. You will not be able to attend your appointment without one.
If you are early you will be required to wait outside until your stylist is ready for you.
All customers will have their temperatures checked upon arrival and be asked to use the hand sanitizer provided. 
If possible please do not bring any extra clothing or bags with you, we have limited storage facilities for this and also cannot guarantee prevention of cross contamination.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

Measures have been put in place to practice Social Distancing in the salon at all times.

- screen on our front desk for payments and bookings
- no walk in appointments or bookings
- no customers in the waiting area
- conversation kept to a minimum, excluding primary consultation, end of service check and payments 



PPE

All staff will wear fresh, full PPE for each client they see. This includes:
- apron
- gloves
- Fask Masks

Having just recently changed our practices to become an eco friendly, sustainable salon, we are conscious not to contribute to disposable waste. Where possible we are using washable PPE and biodegradable gloves.

STERILE ENVIRONMENT

Everything will be disinfected and wiped down after every customer use. This includes:
- all surfaces
- all chairs
- card machine
- both partition screens
- visors
- basins
- all styling and shampoo product bottles
- toilet facilities

Our toilet facilities will only be available for customers booked in for colour services and those that require access due to medical/ health reasons.

SUSPENDED SERVICES

Some of our services have had to be removed

 These include:
- all dry cuts
- online booking for cuts only

We have been advised that we must wash everyone's hair BEFORE cutting. We cannot accommodate clients arriving with wet hair, it will still need to be re washed.
ALL adult cuts including clipper cuts start from £30 (PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR MORE INFORMATION REGARDING SERVICES AND PRICING.)
ALL clients must wear a mask at ALL times during their appointment.
ALL blowdry's are restricted to a rough dry at the end of the service this is to minimise the spread of airflow around the salon.

REFRESHMENTS/MAGAZINES/FACILITIES

We are unable to offer any drinks or refreshments during your services. Please remember to bring water with you to your appointment and anything else you may require as part of a health/medical need or condition.
We are also unable to offer magazines or phone charging facilities, therefore if you are booked for a long appointment please bring suitable entertainment with you.
As mentioned above, the toilet facilities will only be available for clients having colour services or those that require access due to medical/health reasons

PAYMENTS

We will only be accepting card payments for all services including tips. 
We cannot accept any form of cash so please make sure to have the appropriate payment method with you upon arrival.
Tips can still be left for your stylist on card transactions.
The stylists receive 100% of all tips, the salon does not take any percentage from this money.
When paying by card the machine will prompt you before entering your pin.

If you feel unwell leading up to or on the day of your appointment please do not attend and contact us prior to your appointment starting to reschedule.
Please inform us if you have returned from overseas recently before booking an appointment.
